The curve runs along the tendon instead of across it, cutting the spring the whole shift runs on.

A curve matched to tendon, silver at the edge. Harvest tool in the inventory; sacrificial knife in the folklore. The axis of the cut is the insertion, not the heart. Wrong anatomy killed hunters who had learned the vampire kit and met a .

The curve is the specification. Applied at Achilles, biceps, hamstring, latissimus, the inner edge travels along the tendon instead of across it and opens the elastic-energy store the runs on. A straight blade at the same site slides. Silver along that inner edge is the second mechanism, once the wound is wet. Scythian akinakes, Thracian sica, Caucasian and Black Sea sickles with silver-banded edges, Egyptian khopesh-variants: the conventional reading is agriculture or status. The geography is -tradition country.

Target: Lycian, primary. , secondary — the silver works, the geometry is wrong for a tessellated thorax. and stiletto do that job. Pastoral and forested terrain, shift-state encounters. The hunter who brought a plough-blade to a wolf was not improvising. The hunter was cutting the engine's spring.
